history of king sejong
Some background information of King Sejong is that he was the fourth king of Joseon, was born in May 15,1397 in Jeonju, South Korea ,and died in April 8,1450. His parents were Taejong of Joseon his children were Sejo of Joseon and Munjog of Joseon. King Sejong did not care if you were in the upper class he looked for if you are skillful with talents. Most people in Korea did not know how to write in Korean(Lower Class) however the people in (Upper Class) did know how to speak and write. That is when King Sejong the Great decided to go ahead and decided to go make Korean Alphabet so everybody will know how to write in Korean. His invention the Korean Alphabet known as (Hangeul) which he made in 1443 this invention is best recognized as the best lettering system in the world. In the Korean Language they are different ways to say a word such as the honorable way or the lower respective way. The honorable way is used as talking to your elders the lower respect version is using someone like your friends(Confucianism kicked in when he did the Korean Alphabet).
